Teddy Bear on all fours

This bear was purchased in 2005 in the Los Angeles Toy district. I believe they were sold in a pack of two. I do not really know what to say about it other than it has light brown fur stands on all fours. He has a black velvet nose. Feels very soft has lasted for about 15 years, until someone stole him out of my backpack. I am just trying to get an idea of what brand or make the teddy bear was. I have googled some images but have not had much luck finding any matching identification markers for this teddy bear.

Looks like an artist bear. I.e handmade by an individual artist. However the picture is not that clear, so it could be a mass produced bear. It is unusual that it is on all fours. So perhaps someone might recognize it.
