Brinkworth Bears

HELP!
This bear was donated to our charity shop a few months back. We have looked where ever we can for this bear but the only place we can find it is on the peggy nisbet website and even then its a very brief description. From what we've seen Bertie Bear, along with Granny Beatrice, Bongo and Bunty were the first she made in this collection in 1988. These bears no longer reside in her catalogue so maybe they were discontinued after 1988...
We really need all the information we can get on this bear.
He has all his tags and labels and, despite being a little dusty he is in perfect condition. He's made from mohair and has a little blue spotty bow. He has movable arms and legs and is roughly 16 inches tall when standing.

Thank You

Brinkworth
by: Robert

Brinkworth is the longest village in England, if that helps and the youth football team in the 1980s and 1990s was the Brinkworth Bears, based on a field behind the houses on Callow Hill.

I have one just like this

My bear is just like this one, but I got it in 1952 when I was a baby. Mine winds up and plays a sweet little tune. I too would love t know more about it. I do know it was from England because it was sent to me as a gift when I was born. Good luck finding our more. I have to keep it in plastic because some tiny bugs, I think called Wooly bearsm ate some of his hair off.
