Teddybear in the Wall

Teddybear in the Wall

In 2012 I renovated the kitchen of an old home that I purchased. Inside the walls were many treasures including this Teddybear. There are no labels and tags and appears to be sewn from some type of short, fuzzy material that was burlap backed. There is (about) a 1/4" thick metal band running from one arm to the other and underneath the head it feels like there is a round disk of some kind (between the neck and trunk). The Teddy may be stuffed with very fine wood chips. Someone from days gone by has tried to repair the Teddy but as you can see, his limbs are threatening to fall off. Nothing has changed since he was found in the walls. If anyone can give some information on this little guy, it would be greatly appreciated as it would add to the history of my home.
