Blue eyed Teddy Bear

I have a large black bear with brown paws. It's a heavy teddy and stuffed full of an unknown substance as it has never burst. I received this bear from Toy Bazzar in Aberdeen for my 5th birthday (8th December 1979). The blue eyes are extremely blue and everything is still as it was as the original. The one thing that I do question is the large heavy gold chain round it's neck. It has never tarnished and there are no age marks that you would expect from a cheap chain. This teddy cost £50 in 1979. It's had many a tear shed on it and still has not tarnished. There are no tags on it and as far as we are aware it is one of a kind, but I'm unsure about that. Any help would be appreciated to find out more about my bear.
