Brumas the bear

The photos are of “Brumas” he was my mothers childhood bear (she was born in 1952). Apologies for the photos as he is currently not in the best state. I would like to know how old he is, I am in the process of getting him restored as a gift for my mum, hence not wanting to ask her if he was “new/used” when she got him. Any help would be much appreciated. Brumas is the name my mother gave him so please don’t associate the bears age with the name
