Mohair teddy bear

Mohair teddy bear

I got this old boy at a flea market yesterday. His name is Barnaby. I know next to nothing about him, but he looks to be awfully old. He's nearly bald, but based on the few spots where his mohair lasted he appears to have once been a golden beige. He has brown glass eyes, felt pawpads and is stuffed with wood wool. He has a (vertically) embroidered nose and lovely embroidered claws, but there's barely anything left of his mouth. He has a long snout, long arms and a VERY pronounced hump. He doesn't have a button or a tag, but considering how rough of a shape he's in, he could easily have just lost it. His ribbon appears newer, so I think he got it later on in his life. He isn't very big but he is of a decent size (see photos). Any help identifying him would be appreciated! : )

i think i know what your bear is

I think your bear might be a very very rare Eduard Cramer Teddy bear. They have the heart shaped face like yours has. He's very beautiful. He might have a little tongue by his mouth stitching. You can google "Eduard Cramer" and see what they look like. Nice find.
