German singing bear

I would love more information on this teddy bear that was gifted to us in the 70’s by my husbands late aunt, she was a teddy bear collector. Our bear is about 18 inches long, he’s jointed, and does sing a German diddy. The card that is attached has the words to the song in German with an English translation. The card has a little teddy bear on front which has been identified as Alfred Volk. I really can’t find much online in regards to Alfred Volk. The bear is dark brown with long hair and sings when his belly is pushed. He’s in brand new condition as he has been wrapped in plastic up high in a closet for years. When he was gifted to us we were told he wasn’t for the children to play with. I would appreciate any information on this cute guy.

Singing German Teddy
by: Mary-Lynne

My husband gifted me this precious bear when I was pregnant with my first child in 1974. Mine no longer sings either. I would love to know more about the bear and if anyone knows about replacing the "music box."

We have one, too! It was my father's who lived in Northridge. Unfortunately, ours no longer sings and we want him repaired. Can you find the manufacturer anywhere???
