Is This A teddy or A Cat

Hi there, when I was born in the 80s my parents gave a soft pink cat toy - it looks like a cat to me anyway, unfortunately the label has totally faded. I called the toy Gund, apparently after my parents told me who made it. It would be great if someone could confirm this for me. I've attached a picture. After months of searching online (mainly because I wanted to try and source another for my child due in June this year) I can't seem to find any pictures or information on this toy. I really hope you can help! The toy itself is a very faded pink, although some of the lesser worn parts of it do appear to be a little darker. The features on the face are embroidered with green eyes and unfortunately the mouth has come away. The pink nose is also embroidered. The face and feet are white and there was some kind of bow at the front under the face but again, due to this being around 30 years old it's difficult to make out what it was. I was born in 1984 and had it new, so can only assume it would have been purchased around this time, maybe as early as 1983.
