He was my best friend (1973/4)

I named him Deedee and he was my best friend.

I received him as a gift from overseas, either United States (more likely) or the UK (less likely).

The year was 1973 or 1974.

Description: A fluffy dark brown bear with bright yellow inner ears and snout. Black nose. Pink ribbon. Red tongue poking out. Plastic eyes, blue/green iris and large black pupils. The posture of the bear is like a dog sitting sideways.

I no longer have him and... I'm a bit sentimental. I'd love to know more about him. Where did he come from? Does anyone have or had the same bear? Can I find a replacement anywhere in the world still in existence?
