I would call this a "flat" brown bear. It was a gift to my mother sometime around 1966-1967 and was probably purchased in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, or Washington DC, perhaps at a National Zoo gift shop. It has orange-brown plush fur, floppy legs, and a short, floppy tail. The eyes are orange plastic with a gold foil rim. The nose is brown plastic. The mouth is red felt in a teardrop shape. It has a side seam tag reading "A Gund Creation" with an address of Brooklyn 37, NY. I would love to see a photo of what this bear may have looked like in original condition. Thanks!
