This was my mother's first bear, sadly she recently passed away.. This bear has been well loved and a bit bald and bronze... Anyway, my Mum mentioned it and had said it might be one of those renowned manufacturers. I have only just rediscovered it.

What is really distinctive is its long thin leather patch under its right foot. Not sure if there was wording on the patch. There is a seam up its middle and has amber eye buttons - one is lopsided. It is at least as old as the 1940s.

Stuffing is all there and intact, stitching is okay and is in one piece. Length is about 18 1/2 " or 47cm

Would love to know what kind of bear and what I could do for it.

With kind regards,

Andrew

Hi I have taken a look through my catalogue and I would say that this is a c. 1930's Magna series Chad Valley bear.

He has the horizontal nose stitching, small ears and the patch on his foot.
