long lost 2 generation teddy

so the teddy bear is brown with tan on the ears and for sure the top paws… This is the only picture I have with it from when I was a toddler. It was my dad‘s childhood bear that he passed down to his first child, who then lost it on a cross-country road trip. The story comes up almost every year about how my dad tried driving back across the country to find it, my parents called all the hotels, etc and it was just never found. My dad is retired now, with many grandkids of his own, but I would love to gift him his childhood teddy bear back. From my research so far, it may be a Gund brand, but it also looks like it could be knickerbocker maybe?? He’s unjointed … And that’s about all I know. I don’t want to ask my dad as I really want to surprise him… But I totally will if it helps find the bear! I believe it was gifted to my dad when he was a child so it was probably made in the 60s… Possibly 50s? Thank you!!
