Hurricane Ida loss

Hurricane Ida loss

My father purchased this bear for me in the late 80’s or early ‘90s. I lost everything during the flooding from Hurricane Ida in September. I was rescued via boat from my apartment with just the clothes on my back and am thankful for all the people who helped me. I have no idea where my father purchased this bear but it has always brought me great joy an comfort. I’m devastated by losing this sentimental item and I’m hoping someone can identify it for me and help me locate a replacement. I realize the bear is a symbolic representation of my childhood and there are more important things in life. However, right now it would help the healing process. I thank everyone who reads this and I remain hopeful that I can find a replacement.

It’s a Boyd bear. They’re all over eBay and other seller sites. Look up mohair Boyd.

Maybe a little help
by: Ace

Hello! I’m dearly sorry for what happened. This bear looked familiar, it kind of has the same facial structure of a TY beanie baby or just any rare antique teddy. I googled "Small Brown Teddy with Ribbon" and found similar results. A tip would be to check eBay, usually there are people selling antique teddies on there, however they can be quite pricey.

I wish you the best of luck in finding a replacement.
