Most beautiful old bear

Edward is 70 years old. I have had him since my third birthday. He is 28 inches tall with fully articulated arms and legs. His nose is sewn and he has large brown glass eyes. He came with a red bow around his neck. He used to growl if you put him on his back but he no longer does that. I believe he was probably purchased in Mears toyshop in Preston Lancashire. They did sell Chad Valley toys but I don’t know if that’s what Edward is. I have looked through loads of photos of old teddy bears and have never found one with such a lovely face. There must be more than one! I would love to find out more about my precious old friend.
