My father's wife's bear

My father's late lovely second wife was highly successful and bought only the best. We are agonisingly finding Bang and Olufsen hi-fi components covered in emulsion paint, some beautiful old phones broken where they have been stuffed into the wardrobe for many years, and this particularly lovely bear who has sat in a hat box for far too long.

His fur was clearly once golden but is very faded, it feels brittle to the touch. He has no labels and his body and limbs are very stiff. He moves in every direction and is clearly much loved as you can tell by his bald spots. We are now at the point of raising money for care home fees for dad, and wondered if anybody knew if he might be valuable, and where we might sell him, heartbreaking as it is to see him go.

He is approximately 40cm, 16 inches in height, his mum lived in Bournemouth if this makes any difference whatsoever.

Any information you could offer would be very gratefully received.
