My first Teddy Bear (late '60s)

(Georgia)

Hello, I have been trying to find out what kind of bear this is because I desperately would like to find another one. Unfortunately, he was attacked by a dog when I was younger and my mother had to put a new face on him. The only things I have to go by are that he is 10 inches long with light pink velvet pads. They are in good condition. His fur is a light brown/tan now but from pictures, it looks like he could have been white. He has small ears, jointed arms and legs and does have a box inside, but I am not sure if it was a musical box or not. When you squeeze him, he is still a little soft. I do not think he is mohair.
He was given to me with the Bobby Bear books by Helmrath and Bartlett so I always thought they were paired together.
I have looked at every teddy bear picture I can find online and have come up with nothing. Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks!

‘Toffee’ Bear
by: Anonymous

British, ‘Toffee’ was a character bear that accompanied the ‘Listen With Mother’ radio series. Had a red beret & red scarf. Don’t know how to upload a picture, but google him. Think he was Merrythought. Look at his left (?) foot for remains of a label.
