Old sweet well loved bear

This lovely bear has been in my family for a long time, and now i have the pleasure of owning him. Unfortunately though i know nothing about him. He is jointed including his head, he has a straw filled head and legs, his tummy is soft and so are his arms, glass eyes, squeeker, He has 5 stitched claws on his hands and feet, hes about 18" tall.
If any one know of his age and date he was possibly made, i would love to know more about this chap. so if you can help we both would be very greatful x
