My Grandma gave me this teddy bear in the early to mid 70's. I don't remember her saying it was my dad's teddy bear or not. If it was, my dad was born in 1939. When the bear was given to me, it was in the same condition at that time as it is now. I didn't play with it much because it has a smell - since that smell has never gotten better, I wonder if it's caused by the stuffing. I can't describe the smell and don't know what it's stuffed with but it's not a poly stuffing so maybe some sort of saw dust? As you can see by the photos, it's about the size of an 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper. The eyes are green and has a "stem" inside the head so the eye are about 3/4" long. There must have been a black nose at one time and I'm guessing the red dot was part of a mouth or tongue. I would appreciate any information you may have on this toy.
