The Three Bears

by Elizabeth Freeman
(Poetry Perry, Ontario Canada)

I recently purchased these three bears from an auction and I have been unable to find any information on them. They come sitting in their own captains chair and each have a wooden bowl and a wooden spoon. The tag on the bottom of the foot says “The Nursery” 97-99 West Bloor. On the other foot is a ribbon with the name “Mary Stuart Gilmour” I’m not sure if that is the maker, or the person who owned them. They all have glass eyes. They were advertised as from 1935-1936. I was wondering if you have ever seen a set like these ones or have any more information on them.
Thank you
Elizabeth
