Threadbare Teddy Bear

Threadbare Teddy Bear

Found in a cupboard whilst clearing mother in laws house. She’s 83 and an only child, sadly we can’t ask her the history. Bear is very threadbare but would have been golden in colour. She’s 5 way jointed and the discs look to be made of thick cardboard. She has glass eyes and a stitched nose. The snout is quite pronounced and with her ears she’s approx 21” in height. She’s dressed in a peach coloured (with floral pattern) ‘cotton’ dress which is stitched together to form a gusset.
When squeezed she doesn’t feel soft or squishy, more like stiff, so I don’t think she’s stuffed with wool or kapok. She’s in a bit of a sorry state , bless her xxx
