Unknown brown teddy bear

Greeting everyone. I would like to know if anyone knows the brand of my wife's bear. She got this bear on her second or third birthday (1987 or 88). I've included several pictures of the bear from today and took pictures of the her holding the bear when she was little. The two pictures of her when she was young are the only 2 known photos she has of her with the bear. If you look at the picture of the tail showing it appears there could of been a tag about 2-3 inches to the left of the tail. From the research I've been doing it may have been made by Gund based on where the tag may have been but I am not sure. Other than that there are no other markings that say who made this bear and no one in her family can remember where they got the bear or who made it.
