Who is this bear?

(Pittsburgh, PA)

I bought this bear for my wife, well we weren't married yet, in 1980 or 1981, I think is was 1981 because I was out of high school and she was still in, but it might have been 1980. It would have been the second Valentines Day gift I ever bought her. He was attached to a box of chocolates purchased from Barkus Bakery, a now defunct Pittsburgh, PA area bakery. I doubt he was exclusive to them, but that is where he came from. She has had him ever since. Other stuffed animals came and went, he has always been there. I'm trying to find out more information about him.

His clothes are what he came with. Yes, he has always worn overalls. The tag on his leg has long since disappeared, the only thing to remain is the orange thread. She seems to think that he is a Gund brand, but that is not for sure. Her second choice is Fisher-Price.

His eyes are black with brown around the edges. Kind of eerie, actually, He had brain surgery once, the back of his head split open from age. The head was filled with blue/grey cotton.

I once gave him a cataract, not on purpose mind you, and scuffed his eye. It mostly buffed out over time, it is made of plastic. He never did forgive me for that.

He is 10" tall from the tip of his ears to the bottom of his paws. He is a fat headed bear, which is four inches across.

Aside from his propensity to order take out pizza, he is usually well behaved.

Anybody recognize him?
